Whether you’re staying in our Philadelphia short-term housing apartments with your family, or if you’re here alone on business, you want to make sure to eat healthily. Not only does it provide you with an opportunity to get the nutrition you need, but it’s also an excellent way to save money.

At Renaissance Properties Group, each one of our extended stay apartments come with a host of amenities, including a fully-equipped kitchen, complete with just about everything you need to make a wholesome and home-cooked meal for up to four or more people. This includes a set of dishes, plates, napkins, flatware, even cookie sheets and measuring cups, and so much more to allow you to make a delicious meal for yourself, your family, or your guests.

Let’s take a look at some quick and easy-to-make meals that you can create right in your Renaissance Properties Group kitchen:

  1. Chef’s Salad

This simple salad is totally customizable and is a perfect way to get some fresh vegetables into your meal plan. Best of all—it doesn’t actually require cooking anything! Just add some pre-washed lettuce to some veggies and throw in some colds cuts and cheese. Chop it all up and toss it with your favorite dressing, and you have a simple but nutritious meal. You can even use a plastic container and turn it into your lunch for the next day!

  1. Chicken and Rice

For this tasty recipe, all you need is some boneless and skinless chicken breast and rice. Simply cook two to three pounds on medium-high for five to ten minutes. Add two cups of water and one cup of rice, and cook until it’s ready. You can even add a side salad or vegetable if you wish for a complete meal.

  1. Tacos

Tacos can be an ideal option if you’re serving guests, or just making this Mexican staple for one. First, take some ground beef and brown it in a skillet or cooking pan. Next, use some chili powder and/or paprika to add flavor. As it’s cooking, chop up some toppings, including tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, cheese, and other favorites. Add some guacamole or salsa for a side, and grab some shells or tortillas to create a custom-made dinner.

  1. Spaghetti and Sausage

This straightforward recipe only requires a single burner, boiled water, and a pot. First, thoroughly cook the sausage in a pan. Once it’s finished, add water, and bring it to a boil. Next, add noodles, and drain out the water after it’s cooked. Pour in a jar of spaghetti sauce and mix everything thoroughly for a savory and mouthwatering dinner.

  1. S’mores

What’s an amazing meal without a delectable dessert to go along with it? This easy recipe is perfect for both kids and adults alike—all you need is some marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate. Place each marshmallow on a plate, and heat until they’re melted. Use a spoon to quickly transfer the heated marshmallows to your graham crackers and chocolate, then sandwich everything together for a sweet treat!
